Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using kasotpower.com or engaging Kasot Power's services. By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or entering into an agreement with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. About Kasot Power

These Terms govern your use of kasotpower.com and the services provided by Kasot Power Solutions Limited (RC: 9563851), a company registered in Nigeria with registered address at No 7, Awofeso Street, Shomolu, Lagos, Nigeria ("Kasot Power", "we", "us", "our"). Use of our website or services also constitutes agreement to be bound by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Nigerian law to request a quote, place an order, or otherwise engage our services. By using our website or services, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Services

Kasot Power provides solar energy system design, supply, installation, and maintenance services for residential and commercial properties in Nigeria. All systems we currently supply use lithium LiFePO4 battery technology. Our services include:

  • Site assessment and energy audit
  • Solar system design and specification
  • Supply of solar panels, batteries, inverters, and accessories — offered either as a complete "with panel" system or as an inverter-and-battery "without panel" backup system for customers who already have an adequate power source
  • Professional installation by qualified engineers
  • System commissioning, testing, and handover
  • Ongoing maintenance and warranty support

We may add, remove, or modify services and product offerings at our discretion. Any such changes will not affect orders already confirmed in writing.

4. Quotes and Pricing

4.1 All prices displayed on our website are indicative and VAT exclusive unless otherwise stated.

4.2 Prices are for standard installations in Lagos. Additional charges may apply for properties outside Lagos (transportation, logistics, partner installer fees).

4.3 A formal written quote will be issued before any work commences. The quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

4.4 Prices are subject to change due to exchange rate fluctuations affecting imported equipment. We will notify you of any price changes before you commit to a purchase, and a confirmed written quote will not be altered once accepted.

4.5 The solar calculator and system explorer tools on our website provide estimates for planning purposes only. They are not binding quotes and actual pricing, system sizing, and specifications will be confirmed in a formal written quote following assessment of your specific requirements.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 We offer two payment options: outright purchase or financing.

5.2 Outright purchase: A deposit of 50% of the total quoted price is required to confirm an installation booking, with the balance due upon completion of installation and before system handover, unless a different schedule is agreed in writing.

5.3 Financing: Where available, customers may pay a reduced upfront deposit of 20%–30% of the total quoted price, with the remaining balance financed through Checkoff Finance or a partner commercial bank, subject to that provider's own credit approval, terms, and conditions. Financing terms (interest rates, repayment schedules, and eligibility) are set by the financing provider and not by Kasot Power. We will connect you with the relevant provider on request but are not a party to, and accept no liability for, the financing agreement itself.

5.4 Payment is accepted via bank transfer to our Nigerian bank account, domiciliary account (USD/GBP/EUR), or other methods agreed in writing.

5.5 All payments must be made directly to Kasot Power Solutions Limited (or, for financed purchases, to the named financing provider). We are not responsible for payments made to third parties claiming to represent us.

6. Installation

6.1 Installation timelines are estimates. We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines but are not liable for delays caused by supply chain issues, weather, access restrictions, or other factors outside our control.

6.2 The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and adequate access to the property for our installation team.

6.3 Any additional electrical work required beyond the agreed scope (e.g. rewiring) will be quoted and approved separately before proceeding.

6.4 The customer is responsible for obtaining any planning permissions or landlord approvals required for installation.

6.5 For "without panel" (backup-only) systems, the customer is solely responsible for the adequacy, safety, and compatibility of any existing power source (grid connection, generator, or customer-supplied solar panels) connected to the system we install. We are not liable for faults arising from customer-supplied equipment.

7. Warranty

7.1 Installation warranty: All installations carry a 6-month workmanship warranty covering defects in installation.

7.2 Battery warranty: Lithium LiFePO4 batteries carry a 2-year manufacturer warranty.

7.3 Solar panels: Panels carry a 25-year expected performance lifespan as specified by the manufacturer.

7.4 Warranties are void if the system is tampered with, modified, or damaged by the customer or unauthorised third parties, or if damage results from equipment not supplied by Kasot Power (relevant to "without panel" systems).

7.5 Warranties cover manufacturing defects and normal use failures. They do not cover damage from floods, fire, lightning, theft, vandalism, or acts of God.

7.6 To make a warranty claim, contact us using the details in Section 15 with your proof of purchase and a description of the fault.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 Kasot Power's total liability to you in connection with any claim arising from these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant service.

8.2 We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.

8.3 We do not guarantee specific energy output levels, as actual performance depends on weather, shading, usage patterns, and other factors outside our control.

8.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Nigerian law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

9.1 If you cancel an order after paying a deposit but before installation commences, you may be entitled to a partial refund after deduction of costs already incurred (site survey costs, equipment already ordered).

9.2 Cancellations after installation commences will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

9.3 For financed purchases, cancellation may also be subject to the separate terms of your agreement with the financing provider.

9.4 Refund requests must be made in writing to lightup@kasotpower.com.

12. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government action, import/export restrictions, currency controls, power or fuel shortages, strikes, or supply chain disruption.

13. Entire Agreement and Severability

13.1 These Terms, together with any formal written quote issued to you and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kasot Power in relation to their subject matter, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.

13.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under Nigerian law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

13.3 We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms to another entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

14.2 We encourage you to first raise any dispute or complaint with us directly at lightup@kasotpower.com so that we can attempt to resolve it informally.

14.3 If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, without prejudice to any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Where changes materially affect an existing customer agreement, we will notify you directly.
